Full Process
The point was to convey the idea about a specific company product. In my case, a tissue box for a health and wellness company. First, a die-cut template was made under certain specifications for the dimensions of the tissue box. A mind-map for the logo and package layout helped record different ideas for evoking moods accommodating to the product. Then, my rough sketches allowed me to begin visualizing the design style for the package and logo. Their designs were drafted on Adobe Illustrator and the making of a mood board brought together inspirational examples for them, as well. Over the rest of the process, my logo and package were refined with feedback. Which came from my class, after they looked over mockups made to demonstrate my tissue box design at different stages in its development. And so, my teacher asked for more pattern iterations to my package design. The logo stuck with a fancy style of flowers and the make-believe company name of Relief. Making new packaging patterns meant varying in shapes and colors printed on the tissue boxes. In the end, it came down to three different design iterations for the tissue box. The tree branches, the flowers, and the circular bubbles. Each using a gradient background for a degree of consistency with each other.
