Full Process
My designs for the beer label iterations began with choosing Craftwork Brewery as the name. The point was to convey the idea of “farm to barrel.” So, my research started with brainstorming with a mind-map to compile relevant ideas for my label designs. The mind-map also helped to compare and contrast how these ideas can relate and work together. Then, making rough sketches made it easier to visualize the design for my logo that would represent the label and the made-up company. And it was on to Adobe Illustrator to draft the logo design, while also making a moodboard to inspire the label's style. Which then allowed me to sketch and draft the label design itself. As well as, make way for the inclusion of essential elements, like a fake barcode, a warning, and measurements, to make the labels and their mockups more realistic. The logo and labels were visually improved together as a single design, while Adobe InDesign was used to test out the different typography to use throughout the labels. In the end, different variations of my label were made to represent and describe different flavors.
