Full Process
Designing the Christmas stickers started out with research into what ideas we associate with this holiday. There was some experimenting done on Adobe Illustrator to determine which appearance effects would be visually productive for the sticker illustrations. With the help of my rough sketches, six of the sticker designs were chosen for digital illustration and for the sticker sheet: Santa's hat, candy canes, a gift box, a wreath, a bell, and stockings. It was on to Illustrator to make them into digital drafts. A color palette of red, green, white, and yellow was chosen for the festive mood of Christmas. Plus, some black was allowed for outlining the shapes and some shading was given to the different colors for the stickers to appear more recognizable. Once the stickers were done, the sheet was given a simple layout with a typeface that would convey the holiday theme.
A personal project to produce Christmas themed stickers on a sheet and practice the making of visually festive designs for printable products.
