Full Process
My reconstruction of the form and lighting of this glass started with me visualizing the most basic shapes that make up the glass. And to give the drawing more context, the environment of the object needed the same. Layers were added to provide more detail in the drawing, but some needed to be more simple than others. All the while, a steady position from the real-world glass and environment perspective were used for capturing the realistic detail, as well as laying the groundwork for where and how the lighting affects them. The effect of the water and light was kept in mind, while the artwork was finished.
A college project in “Introduction to Drawing 1” class to draw a real-world object with reflective properties, in order to test abilities in recognizing detail and recreating lighting effects with drawing media.
