Full Process

Tasked with making an interface for Silver Creek, my research into the company and their audience began. Then, it was on to establishing the architecture of the site pages and the navigation. It became clear that the interface would need specific pages for purposes, like shopping, social media, and company information. And so those pages were made "Home," "Shop," "Media," "Cart" and "Account." A company for hand-crafted soap, like Silver Creek, would want to convey the idea of its products to build its reputation. Specific information and responsive tasks were determined for certain pages, in both desktop and mobile format. Later, it came time to draw thumbnails and other sketches. Both for the interface layout and its visual aesthetics. When working on Adobe XD, the site pages were given an earthy color palette of green and brown, for the first interface draft. But, the design was revised in the second draft by improving the color palette with multiple shades of light orange and light green. This gave the project better conveyance of freshness and cleanliness, like their soap products. It was also given categories for the different types of products, links, and other information. Different task flows were applied to the pages, on XD, to test their responsiveness in conjunction with the visual aspects of my final design.

A college project in “Interface Design” class to design the form and function of a new website interface, based on a soap company, to be visually appealing and responsive.
