Process

Each designer was tasked with trying out there own style for the two posters that the faculty needed for the gallery show. Images of skin layers were provided by the faculty for us to use to convey the theme "under my skin." In my case, after the images became the backgrounds, it was decided that the text should be read in a simple san-serif typeface. And once the required gallery show information was included on both posters, that text and the titles were organized in an Axial typographic system. After that, my designs for the posters was passed on to designers in the faculty. Out of all the student designers in the class, my style was the one chosen to represent the gallery show in early 2022. And when the staff were given my designs, they only made minor alterations, such as the titles' drop shadows, the black sections at the bottom, and the small strings of text mentioning my initial hand in the designs. The style used in the end was mostly my handiwork.
