The point of this projects was to convey the emotional and psychological effects that a certain color's profile could have on people. So, once orange was chosen for my specific poster's color, research was done on the uses and moods of orange. Different ideas were brainstormed about what kinds of visually communicative designs could convey the idea of orange to viewers. After that, a photo was taken of a bowl of oranges and bananas, so that there wouldn't be only the color orange on my poster. It took the combination many layers of colored objects, but the illustration on the poster was finished is based on the bowl photo. For simplicity and focus, a frame of orange was added around the illustration. And to stand out in contrast, the informational text about the color profile was given a navy blue background. In the end, the poster came to convey an active, yet fruitful, feeling to both myself and the class, as they were the audience.
